Prayer of the Heart was written for the Icelandic singer Bjork and the Brodsky String Quartet. In the Orthodox Church the prayer of the heart is prayed silently and ceaselessly during the night so the music for Prayer of the Heart is intensely quiet and still and the prayer is sung in Greek, Coptic and English.
