Masterclass in Fribourg
Tavener is making preparations to give a masterclass on his music and the High School of Music in Fribourg, Switzerland in November 2011, with Martin Neary. Students will study choral and orchestral music, including a performance of The Protecting Veil.
The Masterclass was wonderful for all concerned. A broadcast of the final concert will take place in January 2012 on Swiss Radio 2. All the performances were very professionally presented by the music students, and a performance of the Protecting Veil by Elsa Dorbath was particularly moving.
